Are you a researcher (male or female) whose conference travel is limited due to kids at home? The SMC2010 organization committee is arranging a schooling initiative for children between the ages of 0 and 6 in an attempt to approach such needs.
Children will be welcomed into the Mafalda Children school:
Mafalda is an UNESCO associated school, devoted to the education of children from 0 to 6 years old. The school is teaching in Catalan, Spanish and English, but children of any nationality are welcome. It is located very close to the SMC conference site. The children will be able to attend the school between 7:30 and 18:30, although the activities are mostly carried out from 9:00 to 16:45. The school will provide the children with meals/snacks/drinks/beds similar to other children at the school.
If you are interested in your child(ren) participating in this event or you want to have more information, please contact us. We welcome comments in order to assess the potential of such an initiative.
